The Moor's Head with Turban h 25 cm — Blue and Orange is a variation of the classic h25 with the headgear wrapped in a turban: a shape that recalls the North African and oriental influences in Sicilian ceramic culture, the result of centuries of cultural exchanges between Sicily and the Eastern Mediterranean. The blue and orange decoration — the most iconic colors of the Caltagirone tradition — enhances the shape of the turban with great Mediterranean character.

100% Handcrafted Ceramics
For almost 20 years, Sofia La Maiolica di Caltagirone has been dedicated to the artisanal production of unique majolica pieces, decorated and shaped by hand. They are inspired by the classic style of Caltagirone ceramics from all eras, made with unique glazes that recall the origins of the Eastern world where colors were produced by fusing kaolin-based glazes. The manufacturing process that leads to the creation of our ceramics is divided into six important phases:
Turning, Drying, First Firing, Glazing, Decoration, and Aging.
For each of these phases, we dedicate the utmost care to every detail so that the final product is the result of a unique, inimitable, and unaltered work over time. The main characteristic of purchasing a non-industrial product is precisely this: owning a unique product.
