A success story that began in 2002, when two young artisans from Caltagirone, GIUSEPPE and NICOLA, made a life-changing decision: to leave the ceramics factory and cigarette factory where they worked and start their own business.

In the beginning, they worked in a garage, then in a rented shed. It was southern SICILY rolling up its sleeves, and the sacrifices bore excellent fruit: caskets, tureens, and putti in baroque style. All hand-decorated. Products of pure passion and ingenuity, "made in SICILY." The company grew, and in the 2000s, the "SOFIA" brand became renowned nationwide. From the Milan fair, it launched to conquer markets across Europe.

Continuous research in the 2000s led to a new, major turning point: ART AND DESIGN. The winning idea to adorn important homes in every corner of the globe: ITALY, U.S.A, RUSSIA, Arab countries. A product that is still one of the strengths of the extensive "SOFIA" catalog today.

Alongside lamps, vases, and columns enriched with traditional decor, inspired by the ancient school of CALTAGIRONE and reinterpreted with a more contemporary taste. Today, alongside the two founders, the "SOFIA" ceramics business is carried forward by a new generation open to new, stimulating challenges, but one that does not forget the values that allowed their masters to realize their dream: building a reality with solid roots in the ancient Sicilian land.
