The Tuareg Testa di Moro Lamp with Crown from Caltagirone, Moor Male brings the Caltagirone Testa di Moro (Sicilian Moor's Head) in its Tuareg version: a dark, glossy male face, with a moustache and an intense gaze, wrapped in a turban and a veil that falls at the sides of the face, in an antique mother of pearl finish. A twisted gold cord runs around the turban, a gold shell sits at the centre and the smooth crown above carries gold studs and red appliqués. The head is modelled and decorated by hand by Ceramiche Sofia.
