The Testa di Moro Medusa with Flowers h 38 cm, Antique Mother of Pearl Gold and Lustre, a Sicilian Moor's Head, is modelled and decorated by hand by Ceramiche Sofia in Caltagirone. The female face, in glossy ivory glaze, has blue eyes and red lips painted by hand and a diadem of red and gold beads on the forehead; around it winds the hair of snakes modelled in relief, green with blue streaks, among which white flowers with gold centres appear. On top there is an ivory crown with red lustre spheres and gold beads.
